Mental Health Evaluations
This service is for patients who are new to the practice. An initial evaluation is necessary even if you have received treatment from another clinic in the past.
New patient evaluations consist of a comprehensive review of present symptoms, as well as past and current psychiatric and medical history. This includes patient and family medical and mental health history, as well as patient developmental, social, and academic history. This is followed by diagnosis and discussions regarding treatment options, when warranted. Collection of labs and various referrals may also be recommended at this time if needed. If a treatment plan can be agreed upon by the patient/guardian and the provider, a follow-up/medication management visit will be scheduled.
